Employment at the Y

September 1, 2023

Employment at the Y can be a very rewarding experience for individuals who place a priority in positively impacting the lives of children and adults. Programs alone do not fulfill our mission, but the individuals we employ to lead our programs are instrumental in how well the Greene County YMCA strengthens the foundations of our community through Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. To help us reach and sustain this positive experience, consider employment in one or multiple areas of service. Our need for Certified Lifeguards is a priority to continue our current hours of operation in the pool area for lap swimming, open swim and pool parties, Swim Instructors to teach children and adults the valuable skill of swimming, Wellness Floor Staff to educate members on proper fitness equipment usage and Personal Trainers to provide one-on-one personalized work-outs. Childcare Staff are always needed in our Afterschool program from 2:00-6:00, along with Childwatch and Youthwatch Staff to entertain children while parents get a workout.

Employment applications can be picked-up at our Member Service Desk and all Y staff are eligible for a free membership, reduced program fees and in some cases, eligibility for retirement benefits.
