Active Older Adults (AOA)

At the YMCA, Active Older Adults (AOA) can find a strong sense of belonging and support for sustained health and well-being through development of new friendships and activities.

Through on-going, fun, safe and engaging programs, AOA members build relationships and increase self-confidence while celebrating the success of each member of their community.

The Y’s commitment to the health and fitness of our seniors is about providing whole-person programs that nurture spirit, mind and body. Through group exercise classes and aquatic programs that concentrate on mobility and flexibility, dance classes, social events and volunteer activities, the YMCA is bringing active older adults together for camaraderie, fellowship and fun.
